Combined indicator: candle patterns and trend

Can anyone recommend a candle pattern indicator that is also combined with a trend? i.e. only alert the pattern after a trend or correction has been established.

Candle patterns are a lot more powerful when they occur following a trend to either take profits off the table or that there is going to be a change of trend direction.

Any suggestions?
