Can anyone suggest the best method of optimizing an EA in terms of the period to cover?
Typically, I have optimized an EA for the previous year and got absolutely fantastic results. However, when I applied it to this year the results were poor.
Re-optimizing for this year gets things to look better, but it is rather like fudging it for what has been.

With the demise of Alpari UK. I am looking for a good UK forex broker.
Conversely, name ones which are to be avoided as well.
Ideally the broker should have the following:-
Covered by the FCA (essential)
Low spreads (at least for the major currencies)
Easy to get your money out
Allow EAs, Scalping
Can have a micro a/c
Not liable to price slipping
Fishing for stop losses

Alpari UK has gone into administration with the recent Swiss debacle. My accounts with them should be safe as the client funds are supposed to be segregated. However,

The hype suggests that it is marvellous, but her her past efforts have fell short of the mark.
